EHR Pneumonia

An AI-driven service that enables us to determine the likelihood of complications in patients with diagnosed pneumonia based on the entries from their electronic health records.

The service is based on a predicative model that processes data from the electronic health record of a patient with diagnosed pneumonia (results of initial examination/history, tests, diagnoses). The artificial intelligence algorithms automatically process the information stored in the Health information systems (HIS) about a patient from the moment of hospitalization and, based on the data available in the system, forecast the likelihood of complications, further development and course of the disease, as well as identify high-risk patients.

How does it work?

The HIS sends from time to time (for instance, once per day) all the available information about the patient from the time of hospitalization
The service analyzes the incoming data and provides the probability of complications of a hospital-acquired pneumonia to the HIS
Based on the data coming from the service, the HIS assigns a complications risk level to every patient and provides a report about high-risk patients
The report is used by the experts and/or attending hospitalists at their regular meetings to provide an expert assessment of actual risks and make a decision about further routing and/or treatment of the patient
